Hi! I’m Nick Bielawski for hvacbusinessgrowth.com and today I want to talk about Network Marketing. It’s a tactic in marketing that’s not often talked about but you can have some great success with it.

Network marketing is basically the active joining of a particular network group. It might be a B&A, a local Chamber of Commerce or a Toast Master’s Group. The whole idea is that you surround yourself with like-minded individuals who are great at giving referrals and networking for you.

So if you can actually look after the people that you’re working with in these particular networking meetings by providing them some great information, being really friendly and also by providing them some business from your list of business contacts, you’ll find that these people will reciprocate business to you really quickly.

So I find that in these particular networking meetings that it’s great to align yourself with a Super Hub or a Pod Team. So what I mean by this is, you’ll find in a particular networking group probably 2, 3 or 4 people who also belong in your industry. So for HVAC businesses, they are plumbers and anyone in the building industry as well. They’ll probably be able to help you out. So you need to align yourself with these people and refer as much business as you can, and ethically, to these people. Don’t give them bad leads because you’ll get a bad reputation in this particular networking meeting. Service them with good quality leads that you know they can follow up on and that will give them some great business and before you know it these people are going to be happy to return the favor to you. It’s a great way to grow your business.

There was 1 person in a networking meeting that I was involved with and they actually found that their seat in the networking meeting was worth around $10,000 every time they went. We met for breakfast every Thursday morning for about an hour and a half. That meeting would generate an average of $10,000 worth of business for this particular person.

So you can see that for a lot of businesses, this is going to be really worthwhile. It’s something that you should look into in your local area.
